For Immediate Release:

Bobby Virk, candidate for State Representative in the 47th Legislative District announced today that he raised $107,400 in his first month of campaigning. In less than 30 days, Bobby has vaulted to the top of all those reporting for election or re-election. According to the PDC, Virk has raised more money and has more money in the bank than any state senator, state representative or challenger.

“I am grateful that so many people in the community have come forward to support me in my first race for elective office,” Virk stated. “It’s truly humbling to have my friends, especially in these economic times, reaching deep into their wallets and pocketbooks to help out.”

Bobby is particularly proud of the fact that the overwhelming majority of his support has come from people who live in the area.

“This isn’t money from Wall Street and this isn’t money from lobbyists and large corporations,” he noted. “These are checks from small business owners and from working families. This support is from people who are frustrated with state government and want someone who understands their concerns representing them in Olympia. I keep hearing over and over that people are tired of business as usual."
